On Wednesday, August 1, 2018, Marlboro County Adult Education (MCAE) held its summer commencement exercise entitled Excellence Through Teamwork.

The Marlboro County High School Media Center was filled with cheering friends, family members, faculty / staff, administrators, local politicians and most importantly, the Graduates.  The summer graduates were Ms. Brittany Herndon and Mr. Robert Dial.   It was a special afternoon of celebration, reflection, music and “Pomp and Circumstance.”

Mr. Derwin Farr, Principal at Marlboro County High School provided a Welcome and Introduction.  Dr. Gregory A.  McCord, Superintendent of Marlboro Schools, delivered an inspiring Commencement Address.  Mr. William Jorgensen, Director of Adult Education, gave a brief speech and presented the class to Dr. McCord for acceptance.

The administrators and faculty / staff of MCAE are proud of the summer, 2018 graduating class.  “We wish you the best as you venture out into the next phase of their life.  Remember, be a lifelong learner!”
