There is an online consent form for flu vaccines this year. You will need our school's validation code to fill out the consent form. The tentative dates for flu vaccines at MEMS are December 14th - 16th.

Please join us next Friday, October 29th for our virtual Celebrating Success program. It will be done on Facebook Live. Elementary grade levels will begin at 9:00 AM and Middle grade levels will begin at 9:45 AM.

Please join us Thursday, October 28th, 2021 from 4:00 - 5:30 PM for Literacy Trunk or Treat Drive Thru. This will take place in the front drive way of MEMS. Can't wait to see you there!!

In order to reserve the spirit rock for birthday wishes, shout outs, etc.:
1. Please check availability for the Spirit Rock by calling Debbie Sheppard at 843-523-5371 or email her at dsheppard@marlboro.k12.sc.us
2. Reservations will be for a 1-3 Days, depending on availability and other children’s’ birthdays.
3. After you have checked for availability please fill out the form and return the form and $20 to Debbie Sheppard. (Cash or Money Order only – no personal checks)
**Reservation requests will be filled on a first come, first served basis. You will be contacted by email to confirm your reservation request. Once approved, you may paint the rock during your designated time.
**Please note: only appropriate messages will be approved. Remember, you are responsible for providing the paint for your message. Only paint the front side of the rock.

2nd Grade Parents!!!
Beginning October 11, 2021, ALL 2nd grade students in South Carolina will take tests required by the State Department of South Carolina. They will take the CogAT (Cognitive Aptitude Test) and the IA (Iowa Assessment). The testing will take place over three weeks. Students must be present at school for testing.
The schedule for testing students is as follows:
October 11, 2021 – CogAT Verbal
October 12, 2021 – CogAT Quantitative
October 13, 2021 – CogAT Nonverbal
October 18, 2021 – Iowa Assessments (Reading)
October 19, 2021 – Iowa Assessments (Mathematics)
Testing will begin each morning at 9:30 a.m. Please make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep and breakfast each morning. Also, please arrange your schedule to ensure that you child arrives to school on time.

BAND NIGHT - 7th and 8th Grade Band Students October 15th
Participating students will perform the Star Spangled Banner with the band on the field at the MCHS game on Friday, October 15th. A few stand tunes (which they will work on during practice), and at least one selection with the band on the field during halftime!
Can't wait to see our students shine!!
