The Marlboro County High School Mighty Marching Bulldog Band showed up and showed out at the Tobacco City Battle of the Bands (B.O.T.B.) in Mullins, SC, on Saturday, September 21, 2025 — and brought home Overall Grand Champion honors!
The band’s incredible performance earned them:
1st Place – Dance Line
2nd Place – Flag Line
1st Place – Drum Major
1st Place – Drumline
Tied with Dillon – Best Marching
1st Place – General Effect
2nd Place – Music
1st Place – Superior Rating
1st Place – Band Class AAA
Although they were initially told they placed second overall, that was later found to be a mistake. On September 25, Mr. Kyrone Williams, Band Director of Mullins High School, surprised our students with the exciting announcement — they were the rightful GRAND CHAMPIONS!
Special thanks to Mr. Williams for his honesty and excellence, and to our outstanding Band Director, Mr. Tyrone Wagner, for his vision, leadership, and commitment to greatness.
