From September 15–19, Marlboro County School District proudly joined communities across the nation in celebrating National Adult Education and Family Literacy (NAEFL) Week!
Each day highlighted the power of learning and perseverance:
Monday – Hard Hat Day: Building brighter futures through education.
Tuesday – Career Day: Tools for Success: Exploring career pathways and workforce readiness.
Wednesday – Dress for Success: Focusing on professionalism, confidence, and workplace success.
Thursday – Embracing Your Story: Celebrating personal journeys and the transformational power of education.
Superintendent Dr. Helena Tillar shared:
“NAEFL Week is a reminder that education has no age limit. We are proud of our learners who are building stronger futures for themselves and their families, and we are grateful for the unwavering support of our community partners.”
Special thanks to our incredible partners—the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Department, Clerk of Court, Northeastern Technical College, and Vocational Rehabilitation—for supporting our learners and strengthening our community.
