Oscar Gregg

Marlboro County School District would like to announce that Oscar C. Gregg III has been selected as the Interim Principal for McColl Elementary Middle School for the 2022-2023 school year. Mr. Gregg earned a Bachelor of Science, as well as a Master of Education Degree from Francis Marion University. In addition, he earned an Education Specialist Degree from Capella University. Presently, he is a doctoral candidate for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Leadership in Educational Administration with Capella University.

Mr. Gregg has been in education for the past twenty-three years. Previously, he served as a classroom-based teacher in both Darlington County School District and Florence Public School District One. For the past four years, he has been an Assistant Principal in Marlboro County School District (Blenheim Elementary/Middle School & Clio Elementary School). He also has served as the Fine Arts Department Liaison and a District-Level SCTS 4.0 Evaluator Trainer. As a committed life-long learner, he has obtained numerous certifications and endorsements.


Mr. Gregg had this to say about his new position, “I am extremely excited to be joining a dynamic team of committed staff members, outstanding students, dedicated parents, and a great community. Most of all, I look forward to working with our students, parents, and community members to maintain a legacy of educational excellence.”


Dr. Jason Bryant, Associate Superintendent of Human Resources, stated, “Mr. Gregg brings a great deal of passion, expertise, and experience as an administrator to this new leadership role. His vision for excellence will help push McColl Elementary / Middle School to the next level. We are excited about the new journey with the district.”
