
THE MWE Library visited BPS today with a BIG surprise for our 145 Kindergarteners. Ms. Bobbie and Mr. Tyrell delivered each child with 50 books to add to their home library. This project was funded by a grant from the Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation.


This morning SC Representative Pat Henegan dropped off 14k "comfort" face mask for students and staff. These masks were donated from Mr. Steve Benjamin, Mayor of Columbia, SC through SC Health. Special thanks also to Michael Dover, Chief Business Officer of SC Health and Nick Via, Senior Medical Business Development Manager of Airboss Defense Group.
These masks will be distributed to every school and office in the district. Thank you for your commitment to the health and safety of our students and staff! #345

Marlboro County School District held their annual Back to School Bash Saturday, August 7th. We gave away over 400 Backpacks!





Friday, August 6th, the ribbon cutting for the Dennis Miller Memorial Football Field which was recently resurfaced with a state of the art turf covering. If you haven't seen it, be sure to check out the pictures below, although they don't do the awesomeness justice!



Today was a GREAT DAY! Our teachers and staff returned today full of energy and excitement for the new year! Principals from each school treated their staff with breakfast, welcome back activities and professional development. It was a great day!





Local clergy gathered this morning to bless the opening of newly remodeled Dennis Miller Memorial Football Field at Marlboro County High School McAlpine Stadium.
Tonight, Friday, August 6, 2021, at 7:30 pm, there will be a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. The Bulldogs will scrimmage before 7:30 and the ceremony will start at 7:30. Admission is free and we invite everyone to come out and get a close up view of the field. There will be additional activities as well: free vaccinations, bouncy houses, the band will perform, the 2001 State Championship Football Team will be in attendance, food trucks, etc. Be sure to come out and join us! You may even have a chance to run on the field!!! #345

Members of the School Board receive a small replica of the new football field! Ribbon cutting for the field will be Friday at 7:30pm, everyone is invited to attend.


Blenheim Middle School of Discovery’s (BMSD) Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Middle Level members competed in the FBLA National Leadership Conference. Two students placed in the top ten in the FBLA National Competitive Events. Kendall Miles placed eighth for Career Exploration and Jamison Bethea placed first for Entrepreneurship.
