Our first coaching lab was held today at Clio Elementary. The leadership team and Glorian Chisolm, regional literacy specialist, taught all Fountas and Pinnell blocks in a classroom today and then debriefed afterwards to plan the next steps. This has been a very productive week! Way to go Building Level Instructional Leaders!

To provide the safest environment, we will be conducting virtual parent conferences during the week of September 13 - 17.
THE MWE Library visited BPS today with a BIG surprise for our 145 Kindergarteners. Ms. Bobbie and Mr. Tyrell delivered each child with 50 books to add to their home library. This project was funded by a grant from the Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation.
This morning SC Representative Pat Henegan dropped off 14k "comfort" face mask for students and staff. These masks were donated from Mr. Steve Benjamin, Mayor of Columbia, SC through SC Health. Special thanks also to Michael Dover, Chief Business Officer of SC Health and Nick Via, Senior Medical Business Development Manager of Airboss Defense Group.
These masks will be distributed to every school and office in the district. Thank you for your commitment to the health and safety of our students and staff! #345
