
Congratulations to the following DECA students who attended and took the stage at the DECA state qualifying conference. Kaileigh Ashworth finished 2nd place overall in Entrepreneurship and the following members placed in the top 8: Brianna Davis, Entrepreneurship, Karyn Holloway, Human Resource Management, Tayana Stanton and Kaniya York, Restaurant and Food Service Management, and Sean Townsend, Quick Service Restaurant Management.
DECA’s mission is to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.


Great Modeling and Sharing happening now at BPS! The Reading Coach from McColl Elementary/ Middle School is modeling and sharing at BPS today in different classrooms. The Reading Coach and teachers at BPS are also modeling and sharing in different classrooms. We are strong together and it’s all about teamwork!

November 6th the MIGHTY Marching Bulldog Band Participated in the Darlington High School annual Keith DaBreu Battle of the Battle of the Bands. The Marlboro County High School Bulldog Band is 53 members strong and earned a Superior Rating.
Sunday, November 7th the MIGHTY Marching Bulldog Band traveled to Columbia, SC and participated in the Benedict College Harambee Inaugural Festival Battle of the Bands. The Band performed for their largest crowd ever and performed an OUTSTANDING show.

On Friday, October 22, 2021, Marlboro County High School's Career and Technology Education Department hosted an Engineering/Architecture and Construction Presentation conducted by Keyaun Bolton of Turner Construction and Thomas McNeil of Volvo Nova Bus.
These gentlemen are 1997 graduates of Marlboro County High School who shared vital career readiness information about their profession. They were able to connect with our students and offered words of encouragement and support for those students wanting to start their professional journey.


The first nine weeks has ended and schools are honoring those who receive recognition. Here are a few pictures from Bennettsville Primary School's third grade awards.





CONGRATULATIONS MARLBORO COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL JV FOOTBALL TEAM!
Last night they played Crestwood High School and won 28-22. Xavier Little had the game winning interception. Our JV team ends the season with a 6-1 record, making us number 2 in the region!

MCSD will be participating in a state-wide Earth Quake drill, Thursday, October 21st at 10:21 a.m.


Robert Jackson @RJmotivates spoke to Marlboro County School District teachers this morning about the importance of understanding students and how everyone has a "story". He also gave a little "food for thought".

Ms. Camacho from McColl Elem/Middle did a STEM activity that tied to one of their Halloween read alouds-Creepy Carrots. The students had to design and build a fence that would contain their creepy carrot. This tied in with Math using measurement and perimeter.
