
Please be advised that Marlboro County School District will have a district-wide Virtual Learning Day, Friday, January 21, 2022, due to the predicted icy weather and hazardous road conditions in the forecast. All students will be expected to complete assignments from home. The basketball games scheduled for Thursday, January 20, 2022, (at home) against Camden starting at 6:00 P.M. will still be played.
PLEASE NOTE: There will be NO ATHLETIC EVENTS and NO AFTER-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 21, 2022.

On Friday, January 7, 2022, Varsity Girls Basketball will not play. Therefore, Varsity Boys Basketball will play Manning High School, at Marlboro County High School, starting at 6:00 p.m. One (1) game only.

MCHS DECA coordinated a pet toy and blanket drive to support the Humane Society of Marlboro County. DECA students delivered this items Thursday, December 9 and played with a couple of dogs ready for adoption.


Congratulations to the Mighty Bulldog Marching Band on their Superior rating in a recent Band Competition!!!

Congratulations to the Future Farmers of America Tractor Driving Team at Marlboro County High School. These students came in 8th out of 46 schools in the competition!

Congratulations to our Character Education Student of the Month Grades 7-12, Trinity Shaw. Trinity is an eighth grade student at Wallace Elementary Middle School.

Congratulations to the following DECA students who attended and took the stage at the DECA state qualifying conference. Kaileigh Ashworth finished 2nd place overall in Entrepreneurship and the following members placed in the top 8: Brianna Davis, Entrepreneurship, Karyn Holloway, Human Resource Management, Tayana Stanton and Kaniya York, Restaurant and Food Service Management, and Sean Townsend, Quick Service Restaurant Management.
DECA’s mission is to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.


Great Modeling and Sharing happening now at BPS! The Reading Coach from McColl Elementary/ Middle School is modeling and sharing at BPS today in different classrooms. The Reading Coach and teachers at BPS are also modeling and sharing in different classrooms. We are strong together and it’s all about teamwork!

November 6th the MIGHTY Marching Bulldog Band Participated in the Darlington High School annual Keith DaBreu Battle of the Battle of the Bands. The Marlboro County High School Bulldog Band is 53 members strong and earned a Superior Rating.
Sunday, November 7th the MIGHTY Marching Bulldog Band traveled to Columbia, SC and participated in the Benedict College Harambee Inaugural Festival Battle of the Bands. The Band performed for their largest crowd ever and performed an OUTSTANDING show.

On Friday, October 22, 2021, Marlboro County High School's Career and Technology Education Department hosted an Engineering/Architecture and Construction Presentation conducted by Keyaun Bolton of Turner Construction and Thomas McNeil of Volvo Nova Bus.
These gentlemen are 1997 graduates of Marlboro County High School who shared vital career readiness information about their profession. They were able to connect with our students and offered words of encouragement and support for those students wanting to start their professional journey.
